About Course

Knowing how to manage high mandibular angle and open bite cases is critical in ensuring these cases go smoothly. These cases are often difficult because slight extrusion of the posterior segments will worsen the high angle and/or the open bite, both of which need to be avoided. Prof Rabie will educate you on how to diagnose high angle and open bite cases, and give you protocols that must be set in place for the entire treatment to maintain and improve the high angle and to correct any open bites. You will go through the importance of understanding certain values on a lateral cephalometric x-ray and how this data can help you decide which tooth movements can be allowed, which teeth to extract if needed, and what techniques or appliances to use.
